How to Apply
All applications are processed by the Department for Education Apply service and UCAS, further information and advice on which service to use to submit your application can be found at https://getintoteaching.education.gov.uk/how-to-apply/apply-for-teacher-training
There is no deadline for applications, we will continue recruiting until we have filled all our allocations. However, we would strongly encourage you to make an early application as we have a limited number of places available in some subjects.
When making an application you will need to select Colchester Teacher Training Consortium (Provider Code 2DB) and the course you wish to apply for. A list of all our courses can be found at https://www.find-postgraduate-teacher-training.service.gov.uk/
When completing your application form it is important that you pay special attention to the following:
- Personal Statement (this will enable us to build a picture of why you want to train to teach and what you will offer to teaching)
- References (Ideally your first referee is someone who can vouch for your capacity to undertake teacher training i.e. an academic or professional person)
- Relevant experience (this needs to be outlined see entry requirements)
Colchester Teacher Training Consortium is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, trainees and volunteers to share this commitment. This includes a full understanding and taking responsibility under the PREVENT duty.
All successful applicants for teacher training will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check by the Disclosure and Barring Service and an Occupational Health check.
